Pro-Moe

Biography

A good DJ connects with the crowd, reads the mood and adapts the music to fit. Pro-Moe takes that theory to another level entirely: with a smile from ear to ear and fists and arms pumping in 4/4 time, he makes sure the party starts with his DJ sets.

Mohammed Essam, the Egyptian born, Dubai based DJ first made his name 10 years ago through his part in the prestigious Heineken Thirst DJ competition, while later that year he was named by Campus Magazine as ‘one of Egypt’s top DJs.’

From there, the gigs came thick and fast, with DJ dates at Sharm El Sheikh’s Little Buddha, Cairo’s Latex and Pacha in both Madrid and Sharm El Sheikh. After making the move to Dubai, he became part of the Atlantis Hotel set up on Dubai’s man-made, seen-from-Space Palm Jumeirah Island, dropping funky, vocal house at their renowned Nasimi pool parties. Alongside that, he was the winning DJ at the Movida Corona 2013 competition, beating off a strong field of DJs to claim the main prize.

Now a decade on from his DJ beginnings, he’s become an ever-present at the award-winning Electric Days party, his infectious blend of house and deep house making him a firm crowd favourite, with his mega-watt smile beaming and his arms pumping, urging the crowd higher and higher.
